Wind doesn't move a rolling ball much once it's on the ground, but it moves you — a gust at the top of your stroke can shift your balance just enough to throw off face angle at contact. We check your stroke and stance together, not the stroke alone.
What We Look At Beyond the Roll
A standard putter fitting checks length, lie, loft, and face balance against your stroke path. We add one more layer: how stable your setup stays on an exposed green when a gust comes through mid-stroke, particularly on longer putts where the extra swing time matters most.
Toe hang and head weight both play into this — a putter matched to your natural stroke arc is inherently easier to keep on-line under a small balance disturbance than one fighting your tempo from the start.
Building a Setup That Stays Quiet
Length & Lie
Correct length and lie let you set up with your eyes over the line and your posture balanced, rather than reaching or crowding the ball, which is the first thing a gust exposes.
Face Balance & Toe Hang
Matched to your stroke arc so the putter's natural motion works with your tempo instead of against it, reducing how much a small disturbance can shift the face at contact.
Head Weight
A slightly heavier head can add a touch of stability to your stroke on exposed greens without changing feel enough to disrupt your distance control.
Dial In a Steadier Stroke
Sessions run 45–60 minutes and use a dedicated stroke-path capture system alongside our standard fitting checks.
